Year: 2014

Type: Historic & Adaptive Reuse

53,000 SF

About:

The City of Aurora selected Allen+Pepa Architects to provide a feasibility study on the development possibilities of the historic Hobbs Building, a prominent Aurora landmark that was vacant for decades. The study included a structural, mechanical system, and code analysis, as well as a complete measurement of the building and drawings documenting the building as it existed. We developed potential construction cost estimates and layout drawings of suggested future uses. The study was made available to potential developers to encourage the redevelopment of this historic treasure. Allen + Pepa served an integral role in inspiring the completion of this building’s eventual restoration.
