This project is currently under construction. Eric Pepa of APA was contracted by the City of Elgin to prepare design concepts for an addition to the existing Hemmens Cultural Center. This 9,000 sf addition entails expanded lobby and gathering space, new office space, restrooms and box office. The challenge is to create an exciting, energetic addition to an iconic building in downtown Elgin, while keeping the design integrity of the original structure.
