This project is a renovation to the existing patio at the Bowes Creek Country Club in Elgin, IL. The program involved expansion of the existing rear patio to provide additional restaurant seating and additional shade structures to protect from the direct summer sun. It was important to keep the majestic views of the golf course prominent from this 19th hole perch, while doing so. Total patio area is approximately 3,500 sf.

A permanent cedar pergola was designed to be in keeping with the original design. Decorative and functional ambient lighting at the shade sails and in the stone walls together with outdoor gas fireplaces create a comfortable, social atmosphere for drinks and meals after a round of golf.
